400 Watts Luminaires Must Go

This is a snapshot of one of our local luminaire conversion projects. These old high bay light used in storage warehouse utilizes the 400W or 250W SON bulb. It really consumes alot of electricity and together with the long daily operating timing, the monthly electricity bill is overwhelming. That will be a huge amount of money wasted over a year, the management has done their research and we were call in to be consulted. The luminaire conversion project was carried out to conserve precious electric energy and also further reduce the company's monthly electricity bill.
With today's luminaire technology, these old high power lamps have to go as they consume too much electricity power. There are many possible replacement luminaires out there, in our client's case the 100W LED high bay luminaire is chosen over the rest of the competitors after taking several vito factors like Lux level, CRI and maintenance cost etc into careful consideration.
This was the place before the actual conversion, it has 2 rows of 9 x lighting, total is 18 x SON luminaire fixture. Let's get started, lot's of work to be done here.
This was taken after 4 hours, the 50-50 shot of the storage warehouse. '50-50' sounds awfully familiar...
After a whole day changing these lighting, this is the final look of the converted place with the new 100W LED luminaire. The guys working on the ground will like it as they have a 'new' and better work environment. The management side will love it too as it is only using 1.8 KW per hour after the conversion, previously was like more than 7.2KW per hour. These new LED luminaires easily achieved 75% savings over the old luminaires.
These are the remnants from the conversion exercise. Three for $10, any takers? BTW, the dirt on the lamps are very thick!
